ANSI

ANSI is an acronym used to describe the American National Institute Pump Standard. It is a set of inch dimensional standards that describe the envelope dimensions of a back pull out, centrifugal pump. Among the standardized dimensions you will find:

  • The location of the pump holds down bolts.

  • The distance between the suction and discharge nozzle centerlines.

  • The height of the pump coupling.

There are currently three overall standard pump lengths:

  • 17.5 inches,

  • 23.5 inches,

  • and 33.875 inches.

GPM carries a variety of ANSI pumps including Summit and Deming.

Some of our more popular ANSI pump models include the following.

Standard Process Pumps:

Summit: 2196

The summit 2196 can handle capacities to 6000 gpm, heads to 730 feet, pressures to 375 psi, and temperatures to 700 degrees. It features a back pull out design, external impeller adjustment, maximum interchangeability, standard bronze labyrinth seals, heavy duty shaft & bearings, a rigid frame foot, fully open impeller and an extra large oil sump.

Summit: Clark 3

The Clark 3 model is a semi or open impeller, centrifugal model with an end suction / top discharge. It's designed to handle mild industrial corrosives and has an indexed bearing housing for easy and accurate impeller adjustment.

Deming: 3060

All purpose centrifugal pump designed to B73.1 specifications, heavy duty service for liquid ranging from water and light hydrocarbons to heavy slurries. 14 sizes available with high temperature ranges to 600 degrees. Deming manufactures one of the most complete and diversified industrial lines of pumping equipment. Renowned for outstanding durability, efficiency and low-maintenance, Deming’s product range includes end suction general service and process pumps, ANSI horizontal and vertical inline process pumps, horizontally split double suction single and two stage pumps, submersible motor and vertical column sump pumps, and horizontal and vertical solids handling pumps. They can be applied wherever fluids must be reliably and efficiently transferred -- from general industry to nuclear applications.

Vertical In-Line Pumps:

Deming: In-line

Space saving, back pull-out design allows versatile applications in a wide range of industries. Available in 11 size configurations. ANSI pumps meet the dimensional requirements of ANSI B73.2 Deming manufactures one of the most complete and diversified industrial lines of pumping equipment.
