Self-Priming

Self-priming pumps are those that are gravity driven.  Liquid drains via a siphon and is driven only by the difference in hydrostatic pressure without any need for pumping.

Base mounted models are available with motors up to 150 hp, while closed-coupled models are available from 1/3 to 15 hp. These pumps provide heads to 240 feet and flows to 1,750 g.p.m.  
 
For solids handling, Barnes and Crown offer a broad range of engineered self-priming centrifugal pumps for a variety of light to heavy-duty wastewater applications. Designed specifically for unscreened raw sewage or industrial waste applications. These pumps provide heads to 140 feet and flows to 2,750 g.p.m.
